Our Executive Director
R. Steve Price
Steve Price, a lifelong Georgia native, was an award-winning classroom teacher with 32 years of combined experience as an award-winning junior high, middle school, and high school instructor in Industrial Education, Technology Education, and Engineering and Technology Education. He also served as a TSA chapter advisor. His chapters produced a combined 25 state officers, 7 State Championships and 5 National Championships.
Throughout his career, Price held leadership roles at the school, state, and national levels. He contributed to curriculum development, professional associations, and student organizations, and he actively advocated for Career and Technical Education (CTE) both legislatively in Georgia and across the nation.
He has served on the National TSA Competitive Events Committee since 1991, writing rules for many contests including the Dragster contests.
Notably, Price was the first classroom teacher elected as President of the Technology Student Association Board of Directors. During his tenure, TSA hosted its first Robotics Symposium, which eventually led to a lasting partnership between VEX and TSA. In his final year in the classroom, he was elected President-Elect of the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association.
He transitioned from the classroom to become Georgia TSA’s Executive Director in the summer of 2012.
