Harlem TSA Wins at Indy!!!
Congratulations to Harlem High School TSA's Green Power Challenge Team for placing 1st in in the Formula 24 Advanced class and second overall at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indiana.
The school is the first in their county and in GA to receive the Greenpower Grant to compete in the Greenpower Challenge at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indiana. Sponsored by the Siemens Corporation, the students were given a battery and a motor. From there it was up to the students to design the fastest car. The team was made up of fifteen Harlem High School students who put their design and hard work to the challenge, and were successful. Many of us are familiar with the Electrathon Cars, this is similar but is promoted by Siemans. The program is an effort to expose students to mechanical engineering, which includes the potential for jobs from marketing to driving.
GA TSA wants to extend our congratulations to the team, their advisor, David Thibodeau and Columbia County Schools. We are all proud of you!
